Summer Fashion!

Hey guys! Here are some outfit ideas for summer that i created on my Polyvore and i personally love! I hope you enjoy!

Look 1: So here is the first look - it is a really simple and comfortable look that many fashion bloggers such as SpinDizzyFall and Tuula Vintage have been sporting recently -as well as many big fashion magazines such as Vogue. I put two pairs of shoes in here, just in case you aren’t comfortable wearing heels with such a simple outfit - its really a case of whether you want to dress this outfit up or down. The thing that is really nice about this outfit is that it is great for summer weather - especially since its really starting to heat up however it may not be hot enough to wear shorts. Although there isn't too much colour in this outfit, it means you can wear lots of colour on your face - such as a bright lipstick, and it will stand out very nicely. However a neutral look may also look good as well - it depends on your personal preference. I would suggest tucking parts of the top in so it doesn’t cover too much of the jeans and look daggy.

jeans - NewLook
singlet - Rut & Circle
purse - Forever New
heels - Windsor Smith
sandals - Sam Edelman

Look 2: So this is the second look - stripes have been very in fashion lately, i suggest wearing them horizontally if it is a top or dress, but vertically if it is in a skirt or anything below the waist, as it tends to enhance a smaller figure. If you are wearing a mostly monochrome outfit, I would advise wearing one statement piece that is a different tone, such as these such shoes. I love this outfit because it is very casual and would be great for shopping or lunch out with friends.

shorts - TopShop
top - Monki
bag - Nicoli
sandals - Siren

Look 3: This is the 3rd look - i really like this look because its alot different than the other two. This would be perfect for a festival or a relaxed day at the beach.  One of the things I love about this outfit is the fact that even though the colours are fairly dark - there is still a pop of colour from the shoes - especially since they complement the blue shorts (opposite on the colour wheel). I love the top as it has detailing at the bottom and has a leather look. The army pattern on the glasses also adds small colour detail, so there is not too much colour blocking. I would also suggest not wearing white socks under the docs but instead black or darker coloured socks. Some socks from asos or culture kings would go very well with this outfit.

Fun Spring Days in Australia!

Hey guys, so the past two days have been really fun, since I live in Australia i am currently on holidays and was kind of being lazy, so a couple of friends and I on wednesday decided to go for a bit of sightseeing/shopping around the beautiful city of Sydney. I started off at Balmain with my friend Mackenzie for breakfast, where we met up with my friend Alex. Mackenzie and I were going to meet our friend Kate at the QVB in the city, so Alex came with us and then met up with her mum there. After a bit of shopping in Topshop and Myer looking at makeup, we went to Bondi Junction to get lunch at Yum Cha in Westfield which was amazing.

We shopped around for a while after before making the decision to go back to the city, however on the bus we got very hot as it was 32 degrees celsius, so we got off at a random stop and caught a bus back to bondi beach where we got juices from Speedo's cafe, my favourite place in Bondi. We then tanned and swam until it got dark, when we caught an extremely busy bus back to Mackenzie's, where we got ready for dinner at a sushi train, and then stayed there that night.

The next day we caught a ferry to Circular Quay, and it was around about then that i once again realised how blessed I am to live in such an amazing country, let alone city! The sun was so bright on the harbour and it was just beautiful. We then caught another ferry into Manly to meet up with our friends Ella and Lauren who are twins. We walked 3.5km's up to Freshie (Freshwater beach)where we swam and tried to tan, before realising it was way too sandy, so we walked another 3.5km's back to manly for lunch, and then another 1km to Shelly beach. Finally after all that walking (its harder in thongs) we settled down on a rock where we relaxed for a while, then jumped off and swam in the refreshing water. We were greeted by two whales and a big group of dolphins which were swimming up to 10m away. It was just an amazing experience.

Anyway I just wanted to make this post to share the great times i've had the last two days.

(this was written on the 27th of September but the blog forced quit so I lost it until I found it ahha)

Spring favourites

Hey guys! Here are my spring favourites for the past season! I absolutely love spring because it means summer is not far away! And that means christmas! Well in Australia anyway. And now its summer! or it is in a few days... it feels like im in denial because its currently raining outside. Here are a few questions that I came up with to explain my favourite things about spring, in the language of beauty, the best way possible. (sorry its been so long since my first post, i've been very busy finishing the year with exams and study and school! But its holidays in a few days. So anyway, i'll stop rambling.. lets get started!

What’s your favourite spring candle?
So i recently bought two candles from the two dollar store in my local area, i just bought them to light up my room in a nice way for not too much money, and i wasn’t expecting them to smell for long, but i was so pleasantly wrong! I got two different scents; lavender (purple) and apple/watermelon (green), the apple watermelon smells amazing and summery, so it’s my favourite, however the lavender candle gives such a nice look to my bedroom and is one of the prettiest candles I have ever seen as the whole candle lights up, not just the wick (they aren’t both on fire). Although I personally can’t smell it, but it’s so gorgeous I dont even mind! Besides, they were only about 5 dollars each and have lasted me so long already!

Favourite Spring Nail Polish?
So last year my sister went to France on exchange, and bought me a few things in Sephora, including a beautiful metallic blue from the brand OPI. I was so impressed by it! I love it as it is such a summery colour. I am also loving the french nail look as it looks clean, fresh and modern in my personal opinion.

Favourite body spray/perfume for Spring?
My personal favourite scent for spring is the Mango Temptation body mist by Victoria’s Secret. For me, the scent of mangoes has always been rather nostalgic for summer, when my dad, sister and I would go pick up a christmas tree and a box of mangoes, and for the whole of summer my home would smell of fresh pine and mango. My favourite part of Spring is that it means summer is soon on its way! This particular scent is amazing as it has the basic scent of mango, while adding in different scents as well.

Favourite skin product for spring?
Right now, I am loving the ‘Sukin’ skin products, I own the toner, face scrub, and body scrub. I am so far very impressed by the results of these products. I use the face scrub once every three nights, as well as the body scrub. I use the spray toner twice a day, after cleaning my face with the Neutrogena foaming cleanser in the morning, and then after using an organic cleanser at night and moisturising. I love this product because it makes my skin feel so fresh and revitalised. Out of these three products I would suggest this one the most because it gives the most amazing feel. I love all these products because of the lovely, fresh smell.

Favourite lip/eye colour for spring?
I think a staple colour for the lips in spring would have to be a light peach colour, I use a lip gloss from Sephora in ‘Peach Me’. Firstly, I think the name is absolutely adorable, secondly, the smell is so gorgeous and sweet, and thirdly, the most important factor - the formula is absolutely amazing! I have had terrible experiences with lip glosses that are too sticky, too glossy, too liquidy, or too bright. However for me, this is the perfect substance and is my love! An eye look I have been loving are metallic colours, which really brings out the colour of my eyes, which are blue. I’ve been mainly using the smashbox 15 hour wear cream shadow in the colour ‘sterling’. I love the shimmer in it, and it stays on my eyelids for ages! Although this may just be used as a primer, I just use it as a shadow and love it on its own!

Favourite foundation for spring?
A foundation I have really been loving this season is the Chanel Vita-Aqua Lumiere foundation. It has amazing coverage while still being lightweight and not much at all is needed to give a great look, plus if you are not happy with the coverage that one coat gives, it is definitely buildable. I would suggest this foundation for all skin types, including oily, dry, combination, and normal skin. Although it is very dewey, it has a tendency to stay on the skin no matter the condition! I was very impressed by this foundation, as I should be for the price!

These were my spring favourites, these are my own personal opinion but please try them and let me know what you think!
Until Next Time,
xx Saoirse
