Spring favourites

Hey guys! Here are my spring favourites for the past season! I absolutely love spring because it means summer is not far away! And that means christmas! Well in Australia anyway. And now its summer! or it is in a few days... it feels like im in denial because its currently raining outside. Here are a few questions that I came up with to explain my favourite things about spring, in the language of beauty, the best way possible. (sorry its been so long since my first post, i've been very busy finishing the year with exams and study and school! But its holidays in a few days. So anyway, i'll stop rambling.. lets get started!

What’s your favourite spring candle?
So i recently bought two candles from the two dollar store in my local area, i just bought them to light up my room in a nice way for not too much money, and i wasn’t expecting them to smell for long, but i was so pleasantly wrong! I got two different scents; lavender (purple) and apple/watermelon (green), the apple watermelon smells amazing and summery, so it’s my favourite, however the lavender candle gives such a nice look to my bedroom and is one of the prettiest candles I have ever seen as the whole candle lights up, not just the wick (they aren’t both on fire). Although I personally can’t smell it, but it’s so gorgeous I dont even mind! Besides, they were only about 5 dollars each and have lasted me so long already!

Favourite Spring Nail Polish?
So last year my sister went to France on exchange, and bought me a few things in Sephora, including a beautiful metallic blue from the brand OPI. I was so impressed by it! I love it as it is such a summery colour. I am also loving the french nail look as it looks clean, fresh and modern in my personal opinion.

Favourite body spray/perfume for Spring?
My personal favourite scent for spring is the Mango Temptation body mist by Victoria’s Secret. For me, the scent of mangoes has always been rather nostalgic for summer, when my dad, sister and I would go pick up a christmas tree and a box of mangoes, and for the whole of summer my home would smell of fresh pine and mango. My favourite part of Spring is that it means summer is soon on its way! This particular scent is amazing as it has the basic scent of mango, while adding in different scents as well.

Favourite skin product for spring?
Right now, I am loving the ‘Sukin’ skin products, I own the toner, face scrub, and body scrub. I am so far very impressed by the results of these products. I use the face scrub once every three nights, as well as the body scrub. I use the spray toner twice a day, after cleaning my face with the Neutrogena foaming cleanser in the morning, and then after using an organic cleanser at night and moisturising. I love this product because it makes my skin feel so fresh and revitalised. Out of these three products I would suggest this one the most because it gives the most amazing feel. I love all these products because of the lovely, fresh smell.

Favourite lip/eye colour for spring?
I think a staple colour for the lips in spring would have to be a light peach colour, I use a lip gloss from Sephora in ‘Peach Me’. Firstly, I think the name is absolutely adorable, secondly, the smell is so gorgeous and sweet, and thirdly, the most important factor - the formula is absolutely amazing! I have had terrible experiences with lip glosses that are too sticky, too glossy, too liquidy, or too bright. However for me, this is the perfect substance and is my love! An eye look I have been loving are metallic colours, which really brings out the colour of my eyes, which are blue. I’ve been mainly using the smashbox 15 hour wear cream shadow in the colour ‘sterling’. I love the shimmer in it, and it stays on my eyelids for ages! Although this may just be used as a primer, I just use it as a shadow and love it on its own!

Favourite foundation for spring?
A foundation I have really been loving this season is the Chanel Vita-Aqua Lumiere foundation. It has amazing coverage while still being lightweight and not much at all is needed to give a great look, plus if you are not happy with the coverage that one coat gives, it is definitely buildable. I would suggest this foundation for all skin types, including oily, dry, combination, and normal skin. Although it is very dewey, it has a tendency to stay on the skin no matter the condition! I was very impressed by this foundation, as I should be for the price!

These were my spring favourites, these are my own personal opinion but please try them and let me know what you think!
Until Next Time,
xx Saoirse
